Win a Nintendo Switch 2

These Terms and Conditions apply to the Newcastle Multiple Birth Club (NMBC) Raffle (“the Raffle”), conducted by Newcastle Multiple Birth Club Inc., a registered charity in New South Wales (ABN: [insert ABN]).

By purchasing a ticket, entrants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

1. Eligibility

1.1 The Raffle is open to all residents of Australia.
1.2 Entrants of all ages may participate; however, if the winner is under 18, the prize will be awarded to a parent or legal guardian.
1.3 Members of the NMBC committee are permitted to purchase tickets but will not participate in the draw process.

2. Ticket Sales

2.1 Tickets may be purchased online via Square.
2.2 There is no cap on the total number of tickets that may be sold.
2.3 Tickets are non-refundable unless required by law.

3. Prize

3.1 The prize is one (1) Nintendo Switch 2, with a recommended retail price (RRP) of $639 AUD.
3.2 The prize is not transferable or redeemable for cash.
3.3 NMBC is not responsible for any damage, loss, or issues that occur after the prize has been delivered or posted.
3.4 In the unlikely event the advertised prize becomes unavailable, NMBC reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or higher value.

4. Draw Details

4.1 The draw will take place Sunday 21 December 2025 at 8:00pm AEDT, conducted live online via NMBC’s official social media channels.
4.2 The winning ticket will be selected using a random number generator.
4.3 The draw will be conducted by an individual who does not have access to the ticket list.
4.4 Prior to the draw, four NMBC board members will independently hold copies of the ticket list to verify the winning number immediately after it is generated.
4.5 If technical issues occur during the live stream, the draw will still occur at the scheduled time, and a recording will be posted as soon as reasonably possible.
4.6 The decision of NMBC regarding the winning ticket is final.

5. Winner Notification & Prize Delivery

5.1 The winner will be contacted via the email or phone number provided at purchase within 48 hours of the draw.
5.2 The prize will be:

• Delivered in person if the winner resides in the Newcastle/Lake Macquarie/Hunter region, or

• Posted (with tracking) to any Australian address at NMBC’s cost.
  5.3 NMBC accepts no responsibility for delays caused by postal services.

6. Unclaimed Prize

6.1 NMBC will make every reasonable effort to contact the winner using the details provided at the time of ticket purchase.
6.2 If the winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within 3 months of the draw date, the prize will be deemed unclaimed.
6.3 After this 3-month period, NMBC will conduct a redraw, using the same random number generator process and verification method.
6.4 If a redraw is required, the date and process for the redraw will be published on NMBC’s website and/or social media channels.
6.5 The prize (being non-perishable) will be securely stored by NMBC until awarded.
6.6 If the redraw winner also cannot be contacted after reasonable attempts, NMBC will continue to follow the same process until the prize is successfully awarded.
6.7 In the case of a perishable prize (not applicable to this raffle), NSW Fair Trading rules would allow the prize to be disposed of or sold reasonably, with proceeds held in trust for the winner for the required period.

7. Use of Funds

7.1 All funds raised from the Raffle will be used to support NMBC programs, services, events, and resources for families with multiples (twins, triplets, and more).

8. Privacy

8.1 NMBC will collect and store personal information provided for the purpose of conducting the Raffle.
8.2 Information will not be sold or shared except as required to administer the draw or comply with Australian law.
8.3 Ticket purchasers may receive NMBC updates but can opt out at any time.

9. Legal Requirements & Compliance

9.1 This Raffle complies with the NSW Fair Trading Charitable Fundraising Guidelines.
9.2 As the total prize value is under $30,000, no raffle permit is required within NSW.
9.3 Entrants are responsible for ensuring their participation complies with laws in their own state or territory.

10. Limitation of Liability

10.1 NMBC, its volunteers, committee members, and affiliates are not liable for any loss, injury, or damage arising directly or indirectly from participation in the Raffle or acceptance of the prize, except where such liability cannot be excluded by law.
10.2 NMBC is not responsible for any technical issues affecting ticket purchases or the livestream.
